Parallelism with "to"

Is it correct to write:

"He wants to stay strong, to fight evil, and to support freedom."

Or

"He wants to stay strong, fight evil, and support freedom."

I think the first sentence is supposed to be correct, but to my ears, the second sentence sounds more natural.

Both are correct, and I agree that the second one sounds smoother and more natural. CJ
