Parallelism and verb tenses

Hello,

Many kind thanks in advance to whoever can help me understand what is correct in the following two sentences:

1. I received the year's results yesterday, and I am delighted to announce that our company has had another fantastic year/ had another fantastic year.

2. Things have improved considerably since we moved/have moved from Shatin to China.

I think due to parallelism, the first sentence should be 'had', as the first verb 'received' is in the past tense. In the second sentence, I think the verb should be 'moved' because present perfect is used to show the result of past actions (e.g. 'moved'). However, according to the rules of parallelism, the present perfect part of the sentence 'have improved' should be followed by 'have moved'. However, that just doesn't sound correct to me.

I am confused...any help will be much appreciated.

Thank you again.

All are fine. I'd drop the comma from the first set though.

I received the year's results yesterday and I am delighted to announce that our company has had another fantastic year.

I received the year's results yesterday and I am delighted to announce that our company had another fantastic year.

Things have improved considerably since we moved from Shatin to China.

The comma is used to separate two independent clauses joined by a conjunction. While this is often not observed when both of the indepdent clauses are short, they are not short in this case, and using the comma is better style.

It's not correct to use the "has had" with the move, which dates the action to a specific point in time in the past, as Clive explained.
