Paragraph to write

My teacher gave instructors for a paragraph to write. My topic was "Describe a holiday" I decided to pick Christmas. She wants me to include transitional words and make sure that the paragraph is in the third person.

There are many great holidays to spend time with family, friends, and significant others. Thanksgiving can be an excellent holiday for many households, but it seems like Christmas is the number one holiday. Heck, who does not like waking up on Christmas morning, running down the stairs, and finding the Christmas tree filled with tons of different shaped boxes that are wrapped in paper. Santa fills up his sleigh with tons of presents the night before and can deliver to billions of people in just one night. Christmas is not only for children but can also be for Adults. People love Christmas because it gives them a chance to be around others; they do not see any other time during the year. Christmas is one day that can bring everyone together with laugher and joy. Families tend to bake different sweets and pies with flavours ranging from blueberry to the traditional “Pumpkin Pie.” After opening all the presents, children play with all their new toys and gadgets while parents can sit back and watch them. That is why Christmas Day is the best holiday out of them all.
