We observed, Buddhist remains all over the valley and on the hill tops. Monk lived in these monasteries. They led a simple life and preached the teachings of Buddha. These monasteries, Stupas and houses seemed as if in this sheltered place time stood still.

Question

Who had built monasteries and Stupas and why?

Answer

The Buddhist had built the monasteries and Stupas. They built monasteries for the monks to live in and the Buddhist Stupas were originally built to house the earthly remains of the historical Buddha and his associates.

I found nothing related to the question in the given text. Please tell me;

1) is it correct, in every aspect, what I wrote as the answer?

2) I Googled the underlined part of the answer. Does it fit the answer?

3) What does the phrase "to house" mean?

4 ) The "S" of the stupas is capitalised in the text while "M" of monasteries is not, is it fine?

Thanks.
