"The last pet I remember that died under my care happened in December 2011. It was a 15 year old dog, TO WHOM, AFTER BEING EXAMINED, THE VETERINARIAN RECOMMENDED EUTHANASIA, as he was too weak to try any treatment. I spent about 30 minutes with the dog before he was euthanized, and as usual, I declined to be present during the procedure."
