Land pollution is a critical issue today. Of the land pollution causes, there are two major reasons. The first one is agricultural cultivation. With the growing human population, demand for food has increased considerably, which causes the overuse of these chemicals that results in the poisoning of soil. For example, farmers often use highly toxic fertilizers and pesticides to get rid of insects, and fungi from their crops. Consequently, chemicals on land possibly make the ecosystem unappealing to the survivals of creatures within the interactive food chain. Another cause of land pollution is urbanization. Obviously, due to overpopulation and immigration movements from the countryside to the metropolitan, numerous of construction activities are taking place which has led to large waste articles seen by naked eyes outside any building or office under construction. In conclusion, raising our awareness of protecting our land is more essential than ever.
