Can anyone help me to check my grammar?

One day a baby was kidnapped and the kidnappers used a Grab car, which is belongs to a young man named, Gen. Upon hearing news of the kidnapping on the radio the kidnappers are panicked and left the baby in the car and fled. Gen and his friends, James, are shocked to find a baby in their car try hard to stop the baby from crying. They intend to send the baby to the Welfare Department and while making their way there, they changed their minds as they realise the baby is a lucky charm for them based some incidents that took place.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I think the entire story is in the past tense. I have re-write and shortened the story to present tense, can you please check, thank you.

  1. I think writing a story using present tense is more common, that’s the reason why I have changed it. I have shortened the story. Please check and let me know if you spot any error.
