Usually in english we put the adjective before the noun, but sometimes for effect, particularly in poetry, the adjective is placed after the noun. "Paradise Lost" is the name of a very important English poem (12 books long - i.e. about 12,000 lines) written by the poet John Milton in the 17th century.
tehre are also other structures where participles are used as adjectives where they come after teh noun and there are a number of standard phrases deriving mainly from French where the adjective is after the noun (e.g. the plural of "court martial2 is "courts martial").
