1. Women's health is really a paradigm where we have to look at the full spectum of effects.2. These drugs are modified forms of  female hormone estrogen.a.  I've checked all the definitions of paradigm, they are all sience-related and very complicated. As much as I can understand, it has a meaning close to realm and field. Am I right?b. Does the spectrum here mean we should care for women's health from all angles?c. Isn't estrogen the same meaning as female hormone? Is it redundant?Thank you.

I don't think this is a good sentence as regards meaning.

A paradigm is a way of looking at things, a model or pattern. For example, in N.America it is quite accepted now by many people that we should look at government as a business, and at citizens as customers. You could say this is the 'business paradigm' which such people use when discussing government. What would be incorrect and lacking in meaning would be simply to say that 'government is a paradigm'.

It seems to me to be similarly meaningless simply to say that 'women's health is a paradigm'. Somewhere in the context, the writer needs to explain what paradigm he/she is using to discuss women's health.

'The full spectrum of effects' is also a very vague phrase which needs to be defined elsewhere in the context of this sentence.
