Don't you mean "panel"? I don't see why it should be wrong, although in some cases, a panel's work is not to make any decision, but rather to give hints as to which/what decision should be made.

Another option is to use 'jury' instead.

Yes, but a panel can also be "a group of people gathered for a special purpose as to plan or discuss an issue or judge a contest etc ", or to test drugs, whatever... In that case it's not a jury...

Another use: in 'question and answer' programmes on tv and radio, the people who answer the questions are called 'the panel'.

Also a wall section and a comic strip, but neither of them are decision-making bodies, to my knowledge.
