Palermo-Palermitan: Help!

Hi!
i'm writing my graduation paper on linguistics, and i need your help. Suffixes might seem boring, but there is more to them that seems from the beginning.
Try and form people's nationality from the name of country/town/island where they were born, eg, Asia-Asian.
NOTE: i am not searching for the right way to say it, because dictionaries do it for me. I want to know HOW DO YOU ACTUALLY SAY THAT! And there are no wrong answers to this question!
1. Memphis
2. Toledo
3. Galloway
4. Arlington
5. Minneapolis
6. Palermo
7. Niger
8. Colorado
9. Indiana
10. Quito
I would be even more grateful if you comment your choice, as explaining things might prove to be even more puzzling them inventing them.
Cheers, Nadya

Hello Nadya, welcome to English Forums!

I would say as follows (with explanations for any I'm merely guessing):

1. Memphis > Memphite
2. Toledo > Toledan (I would guess that the local word is 'Toledano'; so I'm anglicising it.)
3. Galloway > Gallowayan; ?Gallowegian
4. Arlington > Arlingtonian (cf. someone from Kingston: Kingstonian)
5. Minnea

1. Memphis - Memphisian (mem - FEEZH - in), maybe Memphitian (mem - FITty - in / mem FISH in), Memphisite (from parasite?)
2. Toledo - Toledan, Toledoan (to LEE dan / to LEE doe in])
3. Galloway - Gallowayan
4. Arlington - Arlingtonian (ar -ling - TONE - ee - in) (from Washingtonian, Newtonian)
5. Minneapolis - Minneapolitan (minny -a - POL - itan) (from Neapolitan, metropoli
