This is email from a friend

if you're interested in treaty and its family, i recommend you to pick international taxation as your major, otherwise don't!

because, sometime, you'll find yourself doing something like painting the sky.

Does anyone know, what does "painting in the sky" mean?

If you both speak the same native language, is there any expression in your own language that seems like it might be similar to that, Oerwahfm? A fairly direct translation? That expression doesn't sound familiar to me. The only expression that comes to mind is this:
