Pain relief patches or pain-relieving patches?

Is it "pain relief patches" or "pain-relieving patches"?

Thank you.

teal lime Is it "pain relief patches" or "pain-relieving patches"? Both are used, but "pain-relief patches" seems neater and would be more common, I would imagine. There is no reason why one should have a hyphen and the other not.

  • Properly, both should be hyphenated, but given the modern tendency to dispense with hyphens, either by design or through ignorance, you may see them written unhyphenated.
