Can I say,

(a) I paid him $40 for his service car.

(b) I paid $40 to / for him for his service (car).

(c) I paid to him $40 for serving the car.

pay (sb) (for sth): to give sb money for work, goods, services, etc.
but :
pay sth (to sb) | pay (sb) sth: to give sb money that you owe them
