Hi,
For safety reason, please do not paddle in the river channel.
Is the sentence correct or does it sound natural to warn people stay away from the river channel and prevent them from being injured or drowned?
Many thanks,
K
I do not know what you mean by "paddle", and it is a bit verbose and polite for a safety warning. I would make it something more like this: DANGER! DO NOT PADDLE IN THE CHANNEL!

For your own safety reason, please do not paddle your canoe in the river channel. Stay close to the shore line.
