Oxygen

"He opened the window open to let some oxygen in."
I'd like to know if it's natural to use 'oxygen'. My guess is 'fresh air' would be better. Correct?

Anonymous I'd like to know if it's natural to use 'oxygen'. It's an unusual choice, but not ungrammatical. "to let some air in" is the usual phrase.

"He opened the window open to . . ."

Don't repeat 'open'. Just say
"He opened the window to . . ."

Thanks. That's what I meant to say. I don't know why the text editor won't remove it after deleting 'open'.
