OWN SELF-RESPECT

Dear Teachers,

1. Does "what a sell!" mean "What a pity!"?

2. You've been sold again. The car you bought is a wreck.

- "You've been sold again" means "you've been cheated again", right?

3. Come on man! don't take / get her money. You have to have your own self-respect.

- Is this natural?

Thanks a lot to Teachers,

Stevenukd.

StevenukdDear Teachers,

3. Come on man! don't take / get her money. You have to have your own self-respect. "Own" and "self" are similar there, so you only need to say "you have to have self-respect" or "respect yourself" (as above).

Thanks a lot to Teachers,
