Overview on versus overview of

Hello!

I am currently writing a work and I am not sure whether I must use "overview on" or "overview of" in multiple situations. I opted for "overview on " at first. However, my supervisor (not a native speaker either) told me to change ALL "overview on" to "overview of". Therefore my question is: Is that correct. Should I always write "overview of", irrespective of the situation this phrase is used? Or is there a rule when I should use "overview on" and "overview of"? In the following I added some examples. Maybe you can use them for explaining this issue to me.

  • Overview on/of Martin's framework for editing pictures.
  • Overview on/of different grids describing possible data set structures.
  • A more detailed overview on/of different developments in splatting can be found in the following
  • Moreover, it does not specifically target the problem of giving an overview on/of the resulting images.
  • However, users frequently want to have an overview on /of different depictions of various features.
  • Section 3.1 provides an overview on/of the workflow and interaction of the single system components.
  • Section 3.2 presents an overview on/of the necessary precalculations.
