Answering a phone call during after hours is unlikely to be considered working and therefore can't not be considered as "o.t.

N2G, it's not at all bad and completely understandable. I'm at the point where I'm nit-picking now. That's good progress!

1) I would not use "for" - they are not getting paid overtime.

2) I don't love "According to them" but I don't have a good alternative, other than simply saying "They claim that they feel obligated."

Thank you, GG. I really need comments like these. I still have problems with prepositions.

Regarding the lawsuit question, I don't know which is more natural for employees to do. Do employees normally file a joint lawsuit through their labor unions? Maybe yes since it sounds like a big lawsuit which is beyond affordable for an average employee.
