Overpower

How would you phrase this please?

I finally decided to do my homework because doing my homework overpowered my laziness not to.

My need to overpowered my desire not to.

I overcame my laziness and finally did my homework.

Thanks

The last sentence is the clearest and most correct. However, you could reword the first sentence to make it work. For example: I finally decided to do my homework because my need to get it done was stronger than my love of loafing about.
