Overperformance or Outperformance?

What is the difference between these two words, if any?

I'm trying to write a sentence along the lines of:

'The firms are penalised for underperformance, or rewarded for [WORD HERE] according to rates set by the regulator'.

Any help appreciated.

N.B. I use British English spellings, etc.
