Hello,

is it a common collocation to say: "focus overly on something"?

If not, what's the proper adverb?

I want to say that somebody focuses overly/excessively on doing something and neglects other things.

I often hear, "He is overly cautious."

"He focuses excessively on doing something" is fine.
