The word appears both hyphenated and without a hyphen.
I don't know what's trending, but probably the single compound word will win out.

By mistake I wrote overhunting as a verb ,while it is a noun and has different versions.

Overhunt is a verb. It has the regular verb parts:overhunting, overhunted, overhunted. Overhunting can be a noun ( gerund ).
