I am making the complaint over her involvement in the gas racket.

I struck him over his head, he fell down and I had to take him to the hospital to cure him.

The book fell over the water in the well.

I am sleeping over the mire.

We are playing over the ground.

Are these sentences right? (Particularly use of over)

I don't understand about these two sentences...I don't get it on why 'over' could be used in the above two sentences. Can explain? Thanks.
