ov vey

It was endless... yak yak yak... Oy vey! Ted, I love ya, you're a reat guy, but shut the hell up...
I think a lot of word above are informal English. But some of them, just like this one, beyond my understanding. 'Yak' is a onomatopoeia. Ya is you. That's all I know.
Could you tell me what this on means?

Eh... Sorry, I mix the word 'yak' up with another word of which the capital is 'y'( But I forget the word but its meaning spitting). Thank you very much.
But the proplem hasn't been solved still. Could you tell me what 'Ov vey' is?

I'm sorry, too. I took your spelling, when it should have been yack. (I've corrected this in my first response). You are correct, in the yak, especially in British English, means 'to vomit'. I believe it sometimes is also used to refer to a particular part of a person's lower anatomy. Oy vey is a Yiddish exclamation of dismay or exasperation like "woe is me".

I think that "Oy vey!" is similar to "Oh dear!" in English. Literally, it means "Oh woe!"

"Woe is me!" would actually be "Vey iz mir!" in Yiddish.

I find the word 'yuck' at last accortding to your clues. This it the original word I saw. Actually, I think you are right because the meaning of 'yak' indicating on my PC dictionary is 'noisy talk'.

Anyway, thank you very much.
