Outreaches of one’s awareness

Hi,

Can I say that something’s ‘on the outreaches of my awareness’ when I’m aware of it without knowing too much about it?

“Game of Thrones was on the outreaches of my awareness for a while before I started watching it.”

“I’m not sure what I should tell you about this topic. Technical stuff such as this is mostly on the outreaches of my awareness.”

Thank you.
