Vocabulary

outlook/view

Hello,
I have two sentences here. "His outlook on life is rather strange." and "His view(s) on life is/are rather strange." I can't see a big difference in meaning. Do you think they are different in meaning? If yes, what is the difference? They both suggest to me that his opinion on life/understanding of it is strange.

"Outlook on life" would usually mean what he thinks the future holds for him, in a practical sense (jobs, housing, relationships, etc.). "Views on life" would usually mean his philosophical, less practical attitudes about life (ideals, beliefs, opinions, etc.).
