'outdoors' paraphrase for 'outside'

Hi teachers,
Would, 'outdoors; out of doors' be appropriate paraphrases for 'outside' in the following sentence?
We can go to a restaurant by the river. It’s not far, and it’s lovely at this time of the year. We can sit outside.

Thanks in advance.
