outdated expressions? It's my first time to ask a question here. Please help me.

Hello Emotion: smile

There are two expressions I frequently use.

"I'm all ears."

"I'm under the weather."

But I'm not sure if they are outdated expressions or really commonly used by English native speakers.

P.S. Are there any tips for ESL learners to make an effort to distinguish outdated expressions from up-to-date ones?
