Hello everybody.
What counts as a loss is usually some type of step away (in the wrong direction) from the status quo. But we also feel loss when we fall short of expectations or of some better outcome we can easily imagine having attained.
Would you please tell me what the bold part means?
It means some better outcome we think is very close to us and we just need to stretch our hand to touch it, but it flew away?
Thanks ??
"to attain an outcome" is to achieve/reach a result. Maybe it makes more sense to you as the following: some better outcome we imagined attaining ~ some better result that we imagined achieving/reaching CJ
