out of the way

Yesterday I went to a busy market for a theft. I was looking about for a while when I my eyes caught a gold ring which a lady wore. Immediately I came up to her and stole it and started running away. She shouted at a great volume so that the people around her came to know about it. And they chased me to catch me. While I was making my way out of the crowd I had to get many people who were coming in facing me out of their way bumping them.

Please correct my sentences.

Thank you friends.

I know the word "about" has a meaning of "around". Then why do you changed "about" to "around".
How on earth did you manage to steal the lady's ring off her finger in broad daylight with lots of people around? You must be an amazing thief - or a very aggressive one
Yes! but in a dream.
