Out of the course???

Dear all,

I have no idea how to say this: "He wants to take private italian lessons out of the course" I need to say that this person wants to have private lessons with me. Is it correct "out of the course" ?

Thanks

There's no need to overthink these things. In AmE you would probably just say something like this: Someone wants to take private lessons with me. I'm gong to be giving private lessons.

Hi,

I did not find in my dictionary the verb "overthink" what does it mean?

OK, it is clear to me now. I just would like to know if it is correct to say "to have" instead of "to take" lessons...

Thanks

I haven't heard such a thing used. Out of the course seems redundant here. Use of

I think most native speakers would find "to have lessons" odd sounding but understandable, the standard phrase is "to take lessons."

Hi,

thanks for the replies although I´m confused whether to use "to take" or "to have" :-)

Can also someone write me a synonym for "overthink" ? As I wrote above, I can not find the meaning of this verb.

Thank you so much!
