Out of sync

Are the following sentences grammatically correct and how would you say them if not?

1 The subtitles read off faster than the video, so even if the subs are in sync at first they go out of sync as the movie progresses.

2 The subtitles are too fast in relation to the video/compared to the video.

one more thing

can this be said

1 I don't want to break the only thing i have left to my name, which is my guitar so be careful.
