Others or the others

1) I am different from others (other people).

2) I am different from the others (the other people).

Which one is natural between them and when do I have to use the #1 or #2?

Thank you.

1) I am different from others (other people). refers to people in general, different from most people
2) I am different from the others (the other people). different from specific other people
It follows the general rule that "the" refers to a specific group.

Thank you so much and can I ask one more?

Is the phrase specific other people okay to use? Or did you just make it for an explanation? So my question is "is it possible for adjectives to be put in front of the word other?"

Thank you so much.

It's understandable, but 'certain other people' is the more usual phrase for that idea.

You can also have a few other people, some other people, a lot of other people, several other people.

On the other hand, it's other happy people, other unknown people, other angry people
