Someone left No.1 as it is(with regard to the use of 'other')

But, he corrected 'other' in No.2 to 'another.'

Q) Is his correction correct? if so, he didn't correct No.1 but only No.2?

#1 "the other person's" is fine (since "point of view" is singular)

I don't know the original sentence of #2 (I'm guessing its "...like other person can...", which is wrong)

If sentence 2 followed sentence 1 (if they belong to the same paragraph), they have to follow with the same "singular" form.
