original file

I have a file, I want to label the file name I will know that that copy is the original version from the vendor, and I will not accidentally edit it in future.

How should I name the file?

My thoughts of some file name:
original copy
original copy do not edit
master copy
master copy do not edit
do not edit
first version downloaded
first version
original version
original download
downloaded

Any better suggestions?

Thanks

Copies are not originals; they are copies of originals. I actually have such a file, and it is labelled simply 'ORIGINALS'. However, it is your personal file, so you can name it whatever you like; you can name it 'DANGER' if that will help you remember what not to do with its contents.
