Nevertheless, despite exerting several deleterious effects on the area’s environment, this trend is both economically and socially beneficial for the community and its residents.

Admittedly, the growing number of tourists visiting the area may put a strain on its natural resources such as land and water as the construction of hotels and restaurants is highly needed to meet the basic demands of these temporary residents.

To begin with, such a trend plays an undeniably determinant role in enhancing the local economy. As a matter of fact, the development of the service industry subsequent to growing number of tourist coming to the area is inevitable, generating an ideal job market with stable income and great career prospers for native citizens. Such a bloom in employment rates may, understandably, increase the local government’s budget constituted largely by income tax, which can later be allocated to upgrading social infrastructures, namely schools and hospitals.
To recapitulate, the accelerating growth in popularity of package tours to remote destinations brings both pros and cons to the areas. Personally speaking, such a development is, by all means, a positive trend despite posing great environmental threats. However, these aforementioned environment-related issue can be easily avoided with cautious planning and strict policies imposed on travel agencies by the local government.
