Ordinal numbers-at, in, on

Hi,


There are people in a queue. I want to point out people's line in the queue. Should I say:

"James is on the 5th line of the queue"

or

"James is in the 5th line of the queue"

Unless you have something particular in mind, I would change the wording. ) So: James is fifth in the queue. OR James is the one who is fifth in the queue.

Unless you have something particular in mind, I would change the wording. (A queue is a line.)

So: James is fifth in the queue. OR James is the one who is fifth in the queue.
