ordereb shut / to be shut / be shot?

Hello,

America ordered the airbases shut

America ordered the airports to be shut

America ordered the airbases be shut

Are all the three alternatives correct? I don't understand the first one. Is the past participle "shut" used alone as in the first sentence? Does this rule apply to all verbs or only to the ergative verbs? Thanks.

Hello Anon

1. America ordered the airbases shut.

2. America ordered the airports to be shut.

3. America ordered the airbases be shut.
I would take #1 as an ellipsis of #2, which is the standard version, and #3 as an ellipsis of:
4. America ordered that the airbases be shut.
I wouldn't myself use #1 or #3, as they sound a little odd to me, but they may well so
