Order of adverbials

Hi, please help me.

"He was walking side by side with his girlfriend."

Is it possible to reverse the order of the adverbials?

"He was walking with his girlfriend side by side."

If OK, are there any differences between these two sentences?

And also are there any rules of the order of adverbials?

K. However, the first one is more common. There's no difference between the two in meaning.

Hi,

It's O.K. However, the first one is more common. There's no difference between the two in meaning.

Thank you very much.

Yes, the second one doesn't have a natural flow at all. If it were appearing after, it would more probably be recast as this:

He was walking with his girlfriend beside him.
