Order of Adjectives

What is the usual or most common order of adjectives when it comes to put first AGE or SHAPE? Some handbooks put SHAPE first and then AGE. Which is the trend nowadays? Does it affect if I'm using British English or American one?

What about these examples:

1) a four-hundred-year-old square artifact /or/ a square four-hundred-year-old artifact... ?

2) a decade-old round glass table /or/ a round decade-old glass table... ?
