I am confused with the order of adjectives. Which of the following is correct?

It's important to know if it's blue-checked, or blue and checked. You need commas between the elements.

And either way it sounds ridiculous. It's a dress made of blue-checked flannel with a square neck. Or it's a flannel dress with blue checks with a square neck. Or a square-necked dress made of flannel with a blue-checked pattern. Or...
