Order a cup of coffee: Can I get/ Could I get

From what I learned before, could is more polite than can, and can sometimes indicates permission. However, when I go to coffee shops, I usually hear people say, "Can I get a grande latte please?"

Why? Is their any alternative usage? What if I say "I'd like a grande latte." or "could I get a grande latte please?"

Thank you!!

Could I get a grande latte, please?
May I have a grande latte, please?
Can I get a grande latte, please?
I'd like a grande, latte, please.

All of the above express the same degree of politeness, more or less. There are often many ways to express the same idea in English—and in nearly any other language, I imagine.
