Thank you Clive,

I mean just one oral story that has been passed down for twenty generations.

Can I say " mouth to mouth " story instead?

Is that natural?

Hi,

Can I say " mouth to mouth " story instead?

Is that natural? No. You could say 'orally tranmitted'. The phrase 'folktales/stories' is also used.

Besy wishes, Clive

Nope.

"A story which was conveyed by word of mouth"
