Or thereabouts

Hello,

With respect to the expression "or thereabouts", is it commonly used by natives when talking about figures?

For instance:

- How much did sales amount to last year?

- Sales amounted to 1 000 000 eur or thereabouts.

Would it be a common way of answering?

Thank you.

Rui.
