'Or' or 'And'

I'm writing a personal statement for medical school and one sentence I wrote looks like this:

"By extracting a Maya's rotten tooth, educating villagers about the importance of wearing shoes, or providing free eye glasses, I was able to see, touch, and help people in need."

My question: is 'or' (i.e. or providing free...) correct in that sentence or should it be 'and'? Both seem correct, but 'or' seems to feel better off the tongue.
