Or a mission impossible?

Does "or a mission impossible" mean "her (Marcia McNutt's)advice becoming a mission impossible"?

Context:

When I was translating the answers by Dr. Marcia McNutt into Chinese, her advices to the Chinese
scientists made me thinking. Doing scientific research is very much different with making products. For product makers, it is ok for them to sell it with a biased heart and attitude. But when doing science, one must be sincerely searching for the ultimate scientific truth with open mind dispassionately, and to make the research methods and process transparent. Discovering the truth itself, instead of something else, should be the best award for scientists. However, if a society is impatient and systematically using money and power to lure people, could her simple advice be easily adopted, or a mission impossible?
