Opposites



Hello! Could you tell me if the opposite of speak out loud is ...keep your voice down?. Is there another expression for the later to be said in a shorter, or even familiar way?

Could you tell me if the opposite of speak out loud is ...keep your voice down?.Yes, but it's not very natural to say 'Speak out loud' to someone. I'd usually say

eg Speak loud(ly).

But let me go furhter. You don't want the rest to stop talking. What you really want is that they speak in a lower voice ( a lower voice is actually needed and you are the one to give the command) what would you say?
