Hi
Could you please tell me the opposite of well-ventilated? Something that would fit here:
I found her new flat very ________________________. It was hot and I was sweating all the while.
Would stuffy work? I found her new flat very stuffy...
Thanks,
Tom
"Stuffy" is correct, but the word "stuffy" can have very negative connotations in (American) English. You might say instead something like: Her new apartment was very uncomfortable, no ventilation. I was sweating the whole time I was there.
