Hi teachers,

What is the opposite of loud/big noise?Is it " "small noise " or " low noise" ?

Can I say " He was startled by even a small/low noise" ?

You may say:
"He may be easily startled, even by the slightest sound"

How about something like, "The deafening silience terrified him".

Hello I'm don't consider myself and expert but I'll give you my opinion......What we would more typically say is, "He was startled by the least bit of noise." or "He was startled by even a little noise.".

I noticed no one had answered.......so I hope this helps a little.
